Nancy Ashley, Heliotrope’s founder, brings passion and twenty years of professional and volunteer experience to Heliotrope. After practicing law for nine years, she now devotes her work to people and communities. For over ten years she has shaped lasting community change, bringing thoughtful analysis to complex and diverse projects. She explores new ideas and infuses creative approaches into her work. Lisa Kagan joined Heliotrope after seven years of working in research and advocacy. She has worked for the Office of Children's Administration Research, the Washington State Legislature, and the University of Washington, as well as the non-profit sector. She holds a Masters in Social Work with a concentration in public policy. She has focused on the areas of child development, child neglect/abuse, juvenile justice, foster care, and education. Lisa helps projects succeed by balancing innovation, social justice, and rigorous research. |
